Stupid credit card tricks

lurkittyI just got replacement cards for my Shell account. They came with stickers on them that said, "CALL TO ENROLL" in large red letters and gave a phone number. Silly me. I assumed that was the activation number and called it, not reading the fine print.
No, it was a number that offered to enroll me in their Auto Club program for just $7.95 per month. There was no activation number. You can just start using the cards. Grrrrrr.... I just keep this card in case I need gas and don't have cash. I pay it off every month. I am considering just closing it for that trick.
