I awoke this morning to finally put a face and name to one of my heroes. W. Mark Felt = Deepthroat. It is really great that he came out while still alive to claim the kudos he so richly deserves. It is also great that he is coming out at this time when the press is so tentative about reporting White House faux pas. A thorough recall of the Nixon nastiness is overdue.

How about a new edition of "All the Presidents Men", with a foreward by Deepthroat himself? I need a new copy. I gave mine to a Donna Mikhailovna, our translator in the Soviet Union... but that is another story.
