testify to the Dork God

Hmm. I got tagged, so I must tell 5 dorky things that are a part of me. The hard part is picking 5....

1. I still use my HP28c calculator. Reverse polish rocks! >=enter
2. I have a Pokemon deskset. At work. Pikachu has betrayed me by running out of staples, but Jigglypuff still has tape.
3. I have memorized the Wizard of Oz and have a quote for every occasion. "Perfect? Bang on my chest if you think I'm perfect. Go ahead, bang on it!"
4. I have been known to spontaneously break out in songs from Girl Scout camp, whether inebriated or not.
5. I have written fanfic scripts for classic Trek in which I get to mind meld with Spock.

Oh, I feel so cleansed....

What did I forget?

Oh yes, then there's the part where I wax poetic about quantum wave functions when in the right "mood". Pure math is such a tremendous concept. I once lived with a conceptual artist and sat through many hours of debate on conceptualism. Conceptualism, at it's core, is reductionism. Purity of function. Out of that purity comes form, and form follows function. A single line in conceptual art may refer to an entire object. That is purity of form. So, reduce further to components. Pixels, particles, paint solvents. Light waves. Wavefuncions. Form follows function. Quantum mechanics is a conceptual art.
