Turkey Day minus three days and counting. Dad still isn't out of the hospital. Diagnosis this time: pancreatitis. Thank all the Gods that he has finally conceded to allow them to give him morphine. I'm going to go ahead and post this and not go into the rest of the things that are making my life miserable right now. Here are some memes for your enjoyment.
the_zaniak has challenged his readers to say who's their favourite author. But he was kind and allows us to make a list of our own construction. He's right – it takes a list. Sometimes it comes down to what I'm reading at the moment. If it isn't fantastic, I stop reading it. I just don't have time for less.
Here goes:
Favourite Science Fiction: Philip K. Dick
Favourite Fantasy: Neil Gaimon
Favourite Fiction: Gabriel Garcia Marquez
Favourite Historical Fiction: Lindsay Davis
Favourite Teen: L. Frank Baum
Favourite Kids: Shel Silverstein
Favourite Comedy: Patrick McManus
Favourite Science Fiction Comedy: Douglas Adams
Favourite Thinly-Veiled Reality Fiction: Kathy Reichs
Favourite Classic: Honore de Balzac
Hmmm. What I'm reading right now, Al Franken's The Truth (with Jokes) didn't make the favourites list, but it's good enough to keep me reading it. Even though I know how it ends.
