lurkittyI'm happy to report that today was a very good day. I had a birthday celebration a day early so that my dad could be there. He tends to have only a few hours in the middle of the day when he's got enough energy to be up and about. But he was there and smiling. Most of my oldest and best friends were there, two of three sisters, and the only reason the third wasn't there was because of snow in the pass.
I sat eating an excellent gomba porkolt with one hand because I had a snuggly 5 year old sleeping with my other hand. She was in full-fledged sweet and adorable mode, and I was basking in it. Her parents worried she was bugging me! But I fought them off.
Good food and good company, then a good film. We went to see Mirrormask, Niel Gaimon's newest effort. Go see it.
Even T came through. No hassles. He even got me a present this year.
