Just returned from the company picnic. Here is an interesting quandry. There were two folks there whom I know are on LJ because they comment on a friend's journal. It is not readily apparent that I am who I am. Do I delurk? Do they care? I mean, the one whom I hadn't met didn't even appear interested in who I was in the outside world when I joined the conversation. I know who they are, so I have the advantage of them.
What is the protocol?
As it was, I felt somewhat awkward. My husband chose not to go. I really didn't want to field the "where's T" queries. I'm getting tired of his moodiness. I'm really glad no one really notices I'm not wearing a wedding ring (it broke and he hasn't seen fit to replace it).
I am glad I did have friends there, though. Yay for good friends!
