Geekitty, geek, geek...
Jun. 16th, 2005 09:16 pmA friend found something on slashdot that made me laugh till I cried this afternoon. Somebody made a
unix-like OS written entirely in JavaScript (Unfortunately, the link is broken now so I won't bother). Now if only you didn't need an OS to run it on. Over-the-top Ubergeek!
I just spent a couple of hours trapped in my husband's office because he had a wireless meeting. He's trying to make a community network among some friends. So I sat and ripped music onto my Ipod. Being in an extra geeky mood, I made another playlist for a D&D character, this time for my trainwreck Tiefling monk in Khanh's game. It is composed mostly of violent and depressing music -- I'm not sure if anyone could really listen to it more than once. But it mellows out in the end. See what you think:
Gloria -- Patti Smith
Live and Let Die -- Guns and Roses
Dirty Deeds -- Joan Jett
El Matador -- Los Fabulosos Cadillacs
The Man in the Long Black Coat -- Joan Osbourne
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly -- Ennio Morroccioni (Yo Yo Ma version)
Crazy Baby -- Joan Osbourne
Your Battlefield -- Susie Suh
Who Wants to Live Forever -- Queen
Elegie -- Patti Smith
Song of the Black Swan -- Pink Martini
Knockin' on Heaven's Door -- Eric Clapton
Song of the Black Lizard -- Pink Martini
I Can See Clearly -- Johnny Nash
Out on my Own -- Sheila Chandra
