lurkittyWe go out to Novak's for lunch and I walk in in my stunning little black dress (see below), Toby's coworker Dave's eye's pop out of his head and he compliments me (thanks!), but my own dear hobbit hubby barely looks up from the menu (We left at different times in different cars so he didn't see me before then). Then we order -- why is it that Novaks includes soup with their veggie entrees and they have no vegetarian soup? Duh!
I'm a recent veggie convert, so this is the first time I have experienced the zoo animal phenomenon --namely Dave's girlfriend (and otherwise sweet lady), when I say I'm a veggie, gets this look in her eye like I've got two heads and squeals and starts asking if I have to take protein pills...
They are in Seattle by now -- I'm stuck here with my old cranky self and a cat who can't find his food dish.
Grrr.
