Why is this Man on Television?
Feb. 28th, 2007 10:41 pmIf you work in the US, you've probably attended a workplace harassment seminar. This is the workshop you must sit through where the presenter tells you not to make sexual innuendoes to coworkers of the opposite sex. It is simply not okay. Not only does the coworker have the right to sue you, she can sue the workplace if they allow the harassment to continue.
There was an excellent example of harassment on Crooks & Liars today. During the course of his interview with Dina Sansing, Glenn Beck steps way over the harassment line. After implying that that it is somehow normal for someone to get nude pictures of a coworker and post them on the internet, Mr. Beck goes on to offer to take such pictures of Ms. Sansing herself!
This behavior is deemed unacceptable in any other workplace in America. Why is it allowed on national television?
By allowing this sort of behavior to continue unabated, HNN is encouraging it.
