The embryo speaks
Jul. 21st, 2006 09:40 amI was not surprised at President Bush's veto of the recent stem cell research bill, but I am very disappointed that we don't seem to be able to get enough votes to override the head idiot. We have two Senators from Oregon, one Democrat, Ron Wyden and one Republican, Gordon Smith. Even Smith made a public plea to his own party to pass the legislation. He has generally voted in lockstep with the president on such things. Of course, it has nothing to do with this own poor standing in recent polls and possible need to distance himself from the White House...
Be that as it may, I just read one of the best pieces to date on the stem cell argument.
It is well worth your time to pop over to
theferrett and read Embryo Ventriloquism: Not just Almost a Googlewhack
He says it all so eloquently.
