The year in review

I started this year not knowing what an LJ was. I had seen a few blogs -- but hadn't actually written one. Now I know better.

I started this year with a PC running Linux. Now I have an iBook.

I started this year weighing 40 lbs more and three sizes larger.

I started this year with my dad in fairly good health. His cancer was well controlled. Now he is in hospice.

I started this year in a rough relationship with my husband. Now I am separated.

I started this year in the company of friends. I am ending it in the same way.

Not too bad on balance.

But is it really a cigar?

I just spent over an hour making turkey soup I can't eat for people who couldn't wait to get me out of the kitchen.
