lurkittyHad a delicious discussion with my Iraqi Shi'a muslim friend about what's going on. The Sunni Arabs are behind most of the terrorism and they are pissed that the Americans are there. My friend is pissed that they're beating innocent people up because of it. "I'm pissed so I'm going to hurt myself!" The Quran is really against hurting innocents, especially people who come from organizations like Care, Inc. to help. It happened in Iraq, now Afghanistan.
Ayatollah Al Sistani is a pretty cool guy -- trying to keep the lid on the Shi'a saying no retribution, but he's got his hands full. Now they're finding Sunni bodies and that's a bad sign -- I hope they can prove that they were bombers and not just farmers like the last lot.
Upshot is the Quran says to honor the Christians and the Jews -- and not to harm innocents. Watch Lawrence of Arabia. Its happening all over again.
