I am beginning to think that the baby boom is a huge hoax.
The reason is that I can't seem to find evidence that large numbers of people my age exist. They certainly aren't here on lj. I am way out on the trailing edge of the curve. Then I look at my workplace. My coworkers are half my age. I went to a wonderful party last night, had a great time, but the same was true (yes -- I did expect that age group).
When I go to Eastern Star, the opposite occurs. Everyone is at least my parent's age. They are very nice, we have fun, but where are the people my age? Few and far between.
It is quite clear that I am playing outside my demographic. So, where are the 40-50-odd year olds? Is there anyplace I want to go that they hang out? Or are they the reason they're building all those casinos*? ""shudders""
So, let me know.
*casino = place to relieve math illiterate of money while they boosting tobacco and alcohol revenues
