lurkittyI'm proud of myself. I ate dinner tonight. I made this nice vegetable soup with rice and split peas and black french lentils yesterday and it has been stewing in the crock pot. I think I overdid the chipotle peppers, though. It was a bit spicy. I cooked an artichoke to go along with it and stuffed myself.
When I lamented that I kept forgetting to eat, my friend J. quoted an actress whose name she couldn't recall, saying "It takes a special kind of stupid to forget to eat." It just happens, though. It have to get better at remembering because I'm diabetic. It wouldn't do to lapse into a coma here alone. And I'm certain it affects my moods. It certainly doesn't increase my intelligence.
I have to pause and commend the Democrats for trying to filibuster today. Go check out the speeches. This last couple of weeks has been full of incredible speeches by Kerry, Gore and Kennedy. They rose to the occasion. I hope people listen. But the Federalists won. We have to make doubly certain that doesn't keep happening.
