9/11, The Other Side
Apr. 12th, 2006 11:14 pmA bit ago, I asked you all to watch Loose Change, a conspiracy theory video about 9/11. When I tried checking it out myself, I found only sites that praised it or sites that condemned it as partisan propaganda. I could not find arguments as well laid out as the video itself that refuted it.
A friend of mine at Stanford came up with this website. It's an issue of Popular Mechanics devoted entirely to busting the myths of 9/11, and addresses the major engineering and defense points of the movie. They do a very clear job of citing the evidince that refutes the claims made in Loose Change and other movies and reports. Read it.
And if you want to see more shots of the Pentagon, try Pentagon Strike, which is quoted in the Popular Mechanics article.
Personally, I'm still giving the articles a thorough read. Right or wrong, I don't think it ever hurts us to question when these things happen. I don't think it's unpatriotic, in fact, I think it is more patriotic to participate in the government by maintaining a diligent watch on your elected officials than by accepting their word as if they were your king and master. We live in a democracy and we need to act like it; to demand our rights. Elected officials serve the public. Not the other way around.
Be informed. That's all I ask
