Who is this Lurkitty?

Grabbing a page from yaycoffee, I shall fill in a few details about myself for the new adopters.

Reading my LJ, you will find a mixture of personal entries, politics and the very occasional fanfic, story or poem. I may wax lyrical about singing kirtan at satsang or sitting in a tipi all night long in the summer. My politics are unabashedly left of left - I come from a long line of social workers and believe strongly that everyone deserves a fair shake at life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

I am also an extreme geek. I won't admit to understanding computers (but ( here's )

a contender for worst perl code evar for be4u and merle_ and any other computer geek out there that I totally deny understanding. *snort* I am such a dork!

I am treading the emotional minefield of breaking up a 25 year relationship. I try to keep the really bad weepy stuff behind cuts, but I do get emo sometimes. If it gets too bad, fiona_fawkes will slap me upside the head and it will all be okay.

I do cut my fic and rate it so you don't have to read pr0n if you don't want to. But we all know you want to...

Sometimes I go on cooking binges and you will get vegetarian recipes. I make them up. I learned the Thai ones from my Thai friend. They are good for you. Make them and eat them.

So you get life, the Universe and everything that bubbles up to the top of my geeky little brain.
