Falwell's Fallout

The blogs of Charlottesville, VA are getting more hits than they've ever seen. It seems a flier was sent home with students inviting them and their adults to an educational program exploring "the traditions of December and their origins, followed by a Pagan ritual to celebrate Yule."
The funny thing is, Jerry Falwell helped them distribute this, in a way.
It all started earlier this year when some elementary students wanted to distribute fliers for their church's vacation Bible school program and were told it was against school policy to distribute anything of a religious nature. The student's dad contacted Falwell, whose Liberty Counsel pressured the school board into allowing such fliers.
Unfortunately, some of Charlottesville's residents are unhappy with their shiny new policy. They didn't bargain for the policy including all religions, not just Christianity, and now they think it's inappropriate.
No word yet on whether the board has changed the policy back to its original state.
