The Point!

One of my favorite comics is the Dilbert where the Pointy Haired Boss gets angry that 20% of his employees are taking sick days on Mondays and Fridays. He vows to get those slackers. The point of it is that it's all in how you look at things. On a day when most of the news is carrying the story of the leak about the New York Subway alert as as couple of Homeland Security employees emailing friends and family, The Daily News, who orginially broke the story, reveals that those friends and family were rich arts and corporation execs. Oh. *Friends* I seeeee.

I'm kind of disappointed at the lack of righteous indignation with respect to the indictments and downright felonious behavior of the leaders of the House, Senate and the White House. But then, the Democrats have never been nearly as good at righteous indignation as the Republicans. We're being far too empathetic, wandering around saying, yeah, it really sucked when they attacked Clinton. I can relate, dude...

But back to The Point. This is a cute little movie that Harry Nilsson wrote about the fact that note everthing has to have a point. Nice, gentle little story I hadn't thought about in years.

Have a fun weekend!
