I love my RPG
I just changed the look of my journal because I was bored with it. Just having some fun. Best fun today, though, was playing Eberron. I was worried that my favorite game was dying out - but we have a couple of new players so we're golden. I really would have liked to have killed that Warforged. But, oh well. We're getting to the psychological part of the game now. One of the new players is from the sect that killed off my ancestors. Kind of an Israeli-Palestinian clash. Only I don't think he's read enough to realize it.
Is this silly? I'm a middle-aged lady and my favorite social activity is playing D&D. Oh, sure, I do other things. But I love my RPGs. So much so that I declined an invitation to serve on the advisory board of a local youth group because they meet during my weekly game. I might miss a game here and there, but I'm not dropping out of my game.
I guess it's not so bad. Everybody has their pastimes. So, some people have their bowling or bingo or poker, I have my RPGs. And my LJ. Writing feels good. Maybe there's even some fiction lurking around in my brain tucked in a corner somewhere....
